Questions about road transport

Frequently asked questions about road transport across Europe, including transit times, routes, required documents and pricing.

Does OCS work with delivery windows and time locks?

Yes. We book time slots and coordinate the last mile with agreed delivery windows. You receive status updates at key milestones and a digital delivery confirmation.

Which shipments are suitable for sprinter vans and what are the limits?

Sprinter vans are suitable for urgent shipments, multi‑stop routes and city centres, usually up to 1–8 Euro pallets or separate packages. For longer or larger shipments, we work with fixed partners.

Do you transport ADR shipments, dangerous goods by road?

Yes, after prior review. Required details: UN number, class, packaging group and quantity.

How is the price determined and how quickly do I get a quote?

Rates are for business customers and depend on the customer and shipment profile. Factors include volume, weight, distance, service level, delivery windows and ADR requirements. You usually receive a quotation on the same business day.

What is the difference between Standard and Direct Service?

Standard Service is groupage and usually takes 2–5 business days. Direct Service uses dedicated transport and usually takes 1–3 business days, depending on the route and distance.

Is evening or weekend delivery available?

Yes, on request and depending on the route, delivery windows and availability. Please include your preferred delivery times in the request.
